Many native plants provide fruit and berries, including hackberry, hawthorns, hollies, mulberry, palms, persimmon, red cedar, tupelos, bayberry, blackberry, blueberry, elderberry, grapes, greenbriers, marlberry, wax myrtle, and Virginia creeper.
 
Many birds will also come to feeders for a variety of fresh and dried fruits. Large fruits can be halved and nailed to platform feeders or chopped into pieces.
