Viceroy Photographs
Viceroys
are
Nymphalinae
butterflies. Their host plants are
willows
.
Viceroys look much like the milkweed butterflies. The band across the hindwings is one way to tell them apart.
The undersides of the wings of milkweed butterflies, such as the
Monarch
, are lighter, while Viceroys' are not.
